Today is World Mental Health day!
This is a reminder that it’s a sign of strength to speak up and say “it’s ok not to be ok!!”
2020 has been extremely challenging and testing times for everyone. I think it’s definitely fair to say that everyone’s mental health and wellbeing has been impacted in some shape or form.
Now more than ever we need to recognise the importance of making mental health a regular topic of conversation within our daily lives. Let’s start by having those conversations with our children at early age and get rid of the stigma. Early intervention and psychoeducation is key beginning in a child’s journey in primary school. We all have a duty to play our part in educating the next generation!
